http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/event/folkawards2009/

JIM CAUSLEY - VOCALS & ACCORDION

JAMES DELARRE - FIDDLE and BACKING VOCALS

ALEX GOLDSMITH - MELODEONS and BACKING VOCALS

DANNY CRUMP - 5 STRING ELECTRIC BASS, PIANO and BACKING VOCALS

DAVID DELARRE - ACOUSTIC GUITARS and BACKING VOCALS

Those wicked Essex rascals, Mawkin, have joined forces with the honey-voiced Jim Causley to form one hell of a boyband! One of the best instrumental outfits to emerge in recent years, Mawkin have a string of festival and concert apperances under their belt. Bringing Jim Causley on board is a master stroke, as his gorgeous baritone voice is the perfect foil for their cleverly textured tunes and energetic performances. A unique collaboration not to be missed.

Support Hissyfit

We are a close harmony group based in Beverley East Yorkshire. Hissyfit are Linda Kelly and Hazel Richings. Linda comes from the Midlands and Hazel from Scotland but Yorkshire is most definitely our home! We sing our own songs, based on the traditional values of English and Scottish folk music and the fishing heritage and cultural richness of the East Coast.

W have performed all over the North of England, and this includes appearances on local  and BBC radio, as well as Radio Britfolk.

We have performed for three years running, at the internationally acclaimed Hull Sea Fever Festivals and at Festivals in Saddleworth and Cleckheaton. During 2007, we participated in several events connected to Wilberforce 2007, and the celebration of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act 1807.
